A downloadable game for Windows

Oh no! The big bucket fell over!

Dash (LCTRL/A Button) into the paint droplets and shoot (LSHIFT/B Button) them back in the big bucket - in the correct order they escaped! Play through 15 levels - alone or with a friend for frantic coop action!

This game was made for the 'I Can't Draw But Want To Make A Game (Again)' game jam. The music was done by VidaZen.

Install instructions

Download the .zip file and unzip anywhere you like. The game supports controller and keyboard input. If one or two controllers are connected, this will be the default input method. Your PC/monitor has to support the resolution of 1920x1080. This is due to the framwork I've used to create this game.

You have made a really cute and fun game. i love all the elements you have going on here, between the obstacles and the color order, mixed in with the timer really made for some fun game play. And the fact you added controller support is the icing on the cake. Thank for for those 15 levels of awesome!

Thank you so much for trying out Paint Bucket Pals and your kind feedback. Seeing your screenshot of the ending screen really makes me proud!

Its my goal to see these pieces of art in full. You put all the work in, its the least I can do is give it the respect to finish it

yo this game is rad! I thought it'd be tough for me as someone who's color blind, but it wasn't an issue at all. controls were crisp, game is fun!

Thank you for your feedback! I was thinking about accessibility during programming and I tried to make the colors stand out against the background. However there is a color blind mode planned, which I will add after the jam - basically with shapes instead of colors for the totally color blind. I just did not  have enough time during the jam ;)

Ah that's a great idea! Yeah, shapes would be super helpful :)

Hi, I've started implementing shapes into my prototype today. What else would help you to enjoy the game more? Does a high contrast background/text color help you as well?

Yeah, the higher the contrast the better, honestly (to an extent, of course; don't totally blow out your aesthetic, but yeah). Shapes are huge though, that helps a ton!

Now every enemy has it's own shape, which should make it more accessible. Still not perfect, though, working on the contrast.
